Past Week In Review

This past weekend Joseph's buddy and his family came out from Seattle for a visit with us. We had a lot of fun.
...Playing at the Children's Museum.

Sliding down a tube for a slide.

Working at Smith's and eating on the job.

Carly hanging out in the Infant Oasis.

Ella at the shark reef.

Touching the sting rays and horseshoe crabs. It was CRAZY!

...and yes, that is Carly's barf on my leg. I noticed it later and thought someone spilled melted ice cream on me. lol

And here's miss Carly telling us she's ready for a nap. :)

We had a lot of fun and it was great to finally meet Samantha and Michaela. I had a lot of fun shopping and I know Joseph had fun golfing and I think the girls really enjoied the museum and shark reef. It was also nice to go out to dinner with you guys! Thanks so much for choosing us to spend your vacation with!

Trip to Othello

Sorry it's been so long. We've been VERY busy. Lets start off with mother's day. It was great. Ella was able to get into it this year. She made me a "stained glass window" to hang, while she was at Explore and Learn class. It was just on a clear plastic plate but it was really cute and she was excited that she made it herself. First she said it was for me but then after I told her how beautiful it was she said it was actually for her. (even though it said "Mother's Day 2008" lol) On Saturday Joseph took her with him to pick up a gift for me. He let her pick out a bouquet of flowers for me. She picked white carnations. It was supposed to be a big surprise given to me at dinner but she ran into the living room with them and yells in all her excitement, "Mommy! Fow-shurs!! Fow-shurs for Ewww!!!" (translation:"Mommy, flowers! Flowers for YOU!") And Joseph was chasing her, "Ella! NOOOOO!" It was really cute though and it made me so happy to see how excited she got. The rest of the night she kept bringing me random things and under her little blanky and revealing them to me at the same time saying, "Sa-Pize!" So I got the flowers and some chocolate covered cinnibears (my favorite candy) from the girls.

After babies went to bed Joseph made me a delicious 4 course meal. A nice green salad, seafood corn chowder, Fillet Mignon and shrimp, and a white chocolate strawberry shortcake. It was awesome, he had me sitting with my back to the kitchen so I couldn't see what he was making. He would put each course in front of me right when I was done with the first. With dessert he put it in front of me with a gift on the plate as well. It was an ipod nano. I was SO surprised and excited. I've been wanting one of these for a long time so I could make playlists for teaching aerobics and he remembered. He really out did himself.

Then for mine (and I guess his moms) Mother's Day gift Joseph sent me and the girls to his home town of Othello, Washington for a week long visit with his mom so she and his dad can get to know Carly and Ella better. It was fun. The girls got to meet a lot of their cousins and it was really fun to sit back and hang out with Joseph's family. The only thing missing was Joseph. We missed him a whole lot. It was a great reunion when we came home last night. Well, for all except for maybe Carly. I think she forgot about her daddy because when she saw him come up to her she started crying and wouldn't let him hold her the rest of the night. It was so sad. She wouldn't even look at him. Ella on the other hand was really excited to see him and kept talking about him. Once she finally saw him she yelled out, "MY DADDY!!" here are some pictures of the fun time we had.

Grandma K found these kitties in their garage. There were 12 of them! All about 3 weeks old. So cute and all the little kids just loved them.
